You are right re! I thought so too.

Parmanu

Then you too are growing old :-)

i wondered if we are missing many things
1. could shah have been threatened to submit to his cooked up story to have his life by the reporter at gun point ?
2. will the jailor et al so easily been convinced of the lack of guilt of others ?
3. how are they so sure that the lawyer's wife had died when she was pushed by Shah ? And that Jackie had not really killed her ?
4. 17 stabs ? just like that ? when she's turned away from him ?
Ultimately it boils down to this
- somehow Nagesh wanted to show these guys not guilty and therein lies the difference between this movie & Shawshank redemption where the lead character(s) not really shown to be clean as it is not needed...

Dear loosemuse, do I understand your making the same comment twice each time as an attempt to inject some respectability to the numbers on this site?!

About your points, I must confess I did not think so much after that ending where a lot was shown and little explained. (1) I did not quite understand you (2) Why not? One could always construct a more details about this, but that would waste time at that point of the movie. (3) & (4) Again, I did not think it was necessary to explain in detail about these things. Viewers can believe in these small details and go along. What happens after these incidents matters. Imagine the effect it would have had if, after all these explanations, Shah had been killed ( or died in an accident before he could explain himself ), and the other two hanged? Would you then have bothered to ask these questions you ask now?

Shawshank Redemption was more polished than this one, that is all. In other areas, Teen Deewarein showed more promise but didn't live upto it.

naa - parmanu - u aint getting away that easy. : )
[ 2 posts ? - i went back & forth & sometime it sent the comment without username ! Incidentally - why dontcha make the comments page a separate page & not opening up in the same window ? ]
[1] - are we to really believe Naseer really committed all 3 crimes - is the Q. Or he was made to say that by Juhi to get the other 2 more innocent out ? the former sounds less probable than the latter...
forget [2] that was weak... but [3] & [4] - i dont mind if he had not shown it... but he has & what was shown was anything but convincing.. same as for the pushing into traffic of Nagi's wife where she's hit by a car coming on opp side of the road at that speeds!!
As for your ending - it would have been OK i guess - but am not convinced by the current ending though !

Parmanu

Loosemuse, you should've been a detective for an insurance company!
